Assistant Superintendent
The Assistant Superintendent plays a vital role in supporting daily field operations and driving subcontractor performance. Working closely with the Superintendent, this position helps lead on-site construction efforts to ensure quality, safety, and schedule expectations are met. Ideal for someone hands-on and solutions-oriented, this role blends technical knowledge with leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day subcontractor activities, ensuring proper sequencing and productivity

Lead morning safety huddles, track site compliance, and enforce safety and biosecurity procedures

Support work planning and short-term scheduling to drive efficiency and avoid delays

Maintain field documentation including RFIs, drawing updates, punch lists, and compliance logs

Field Project Coordinator
As a Field Project Coordinator at Summit, you’ll bridge the gap between the field and office teams, ensuring project documentation, material tracking, and communication are accurate, timely, and aligned. This role builds on Field Engineer responsibilities and is ideal for highly organized, proactive professionals who enjoy supporting construction projects through clear processes and detailed execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead safety documentation and assist with quality control coordination

Manage material tracking—from procurement through on-site delivery and inventory

Own document control: RFIs, submittals, drawing updates, punch lists, and meeting notes

Interpret plans and specifications; flag and resolve discrepancies early

Act as a communication hub between Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors

What We’re Looking For:

Field Engineer

You’ll support daily jobsite activities, including tracking materials, maintaining documentation, assisting with safety and quality assurance, and coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.

Assist with site safety walks, orientations, and permit compliance

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

DESIGNER

Preconstruction Engineer
The Preconstruction Engineer plays a key role in bringing complex projects to life—from early concept through final construction documents. Working closely with the Preconstruction Manager, this role helps define project scope, budget, layout, schedule, and design in collaboration with clients, consultants, and the internal team.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and document client requirements and project scope

Support programming, schematic design, and budget development

Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and consultants to prepare plans, layouts, and drawings

Help manage design schedules and ensure timely completion of construction documents

Assist with permitting and cost estimation

Provide ongoing support during construction for design-related questions

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
